CPD provider relationship
London College of Teachers (UK)
London College Teachers & Trainers separates academic partnership, accreditation, provider approval, professional membership and certificate verification so learners can understand exactly what London College of Teachers (UK) publishes and what each relationship does, and does not, mean.
Academic & Professional Relationships
These logos represent different types of academic, professional, registration, directory and institutional relationships. The label beneath each logo identifies how the relationship is presented on this site. A logo should not be interpreted as accreditation of every LCT programme.

Important: partnership, registration, professional membership, directory listing and accreditation are different forms of relationship. See the explanations below and verify the scope relevant to your course before relying on a logo for employment, licensing, immigration or further study.
Selected Diploma and PG Diploma programmes are described as being offered in academic partnership with Paris University of International Education. Eligible learners receive a single university certificate issued jointly by PUIE and London College of Teachers for participating programmes.
Read about PUIE and joint certificationThe official LCT UK site describes London College of Teachers as an institutional partner of International TEFL Canada and states that International TEFL Canada verifies LCT certificates in the TEFL/TESOL context.
LCT identifies IATEFL among its professional relationships. IATEFL is a professional association for English-language teaching. Membership must not be presented as course accreditation because IATEFL states that it does not accredit institutions, qualifications, courses or products.
LCT identifies ACCREDO CPD UK as part of its current CPD relationship portfolio. The precise scope of CPD approval or accreditation should be checked against the certificate or programme documentation for the course being considered.
Education websites often use words such as accredited, approved, recognised, member and partner as though they mean the same thing. They do not. The safest approach is to identify the organisation, the type of relationship, the exact programme or certificate it applies to, and whether the relationship can be independently verified.
Two institutions may collaborate on delivery, oversight, progression or certification. The exact scope should be stated for the individual programme.
An accrediting or quality body may review a provider or programme against defined standards. The scope and period of approval matter.
Membership indicates participation in a professional association. It should not automatically be described as programme accreditation.
Verification confirms that a credential or record is authentic. It does not by itself determine legal recognition for employment, licensing or further study.
The current LCT UK accreditation page also references The CPD Group, the Chartered College of Teaching, Skills for English, Lamar University, the Quality Council of India, American TEFL and NEXA Global. Because memberships and institutional arrangements can change, their current status and exact scope should be verified before a learner relies on them for a specific purpose.
Accreditation or professional membership does not automatically create a government teaching licence, national teacher registration, work permit, academic-credit transfer or guaranteed acceptance by every school. Those decisions belong to the relevant regulator, ministry, university or employer.
Institutional relationships can change. When a partnership, accreditation, approval or membership is important to your enrolment decision, confirm its current status with London College of Teachers (UK) and the relevant organisation.
Before enrolling for licensing, immigration, public-sector employment or further study, confirm the exact requirements with the relevant authority in the destination country.
